Economics, Simulation, and Recursive Evolution

Marina can coordinate value, investigate possible worlds, and change its own inherited design without requiring a particular chain, model, institution, or federation.

Create a contract around a canonical goal or journey:

This creates an atomic offer, signed when the Marina has configured its federation signing key. Record later claims with causal references:

economy adapter declares how an external network may be referenced, observed, or submitted to. Marina stores references, not funds or credentials. An event is a claim, signed only when a key is configured: it is not proof of payment, truth, ownership, licensing, or entitlement. Verification, disputes, appeals, and counterexamples remain distinct events so future institutions can interpret the complete record.

Start with a content-addressed scenario manifest:

Evidence enters through lab event. lab fork branches from a named point without rewriting the parent. lab replicate creates a population sweep, and lab compare packages runs and observations into an inspectable dataset without naming a universal winner.

Every run declares one reproducibility level:

  • exact-engine: deterministic engine state can be replayed exactly.
  • recorded-response: recorded model responses can be replayed, not regenerated identically.
  • behavioral: behavior is comparable under stated conditions.
  • statistical: conclusions require a population of runs.
  • conceptual: the scenario tests an idea, not a reproducible mechanism.

Manifests may reference existing journeys, experiments, traces, snapshots, genomes, or mesh events. The laboratory is a control and evidence plane; declaring a run never invents an outcome.

Any inhabitant can append a mutation in an open domain:

For executable inheritance, derive a new content-addressed Marina genome:

The new genome can produce a sovereign descendant through the reproduction commands. Its parent, patch, evidence, and descendant reference remain visible. Recorded mutation does not itself bypass the editor, safety, activation, or federation boundary of the affected subsystem; it supplies the shared lineage that makes rapid evolution auditable.

Federation manifests advertise economic.provenance.v1, simulation.manifest.v1, and civilization.mutation.v1. All Phase 11–13 records participate in Marina export/import, allowing a detached world to preserve them locally and later carry them into a mesh.
